i know nobody wants to hear it.But you have ti "use the pills" to get off of the pills..From my many years of experience. The withdrawls are a bit less severe if you snort them as opposed to eat them.
Keep taking less and less each day.Until your finally at 1 a day spaced out over the day and night. You'll crash ,and feel reality comming in to focus.Hold that 1 for a few days then .One day take nothing...The next day take 1 again....Each day and night before bed take xanax...1/4 during the day,and 1/2 of one at night...This will help tremendously, and take the anxiety away and lessen the drug seeking behavior..
Then after a few days ,take nothing but the xanax regimen. Most important take vitamins daily Omega 3 fish oil capsules and a mulitvitamin...Make sure you eat something as hard as it will be ,cause without food its worse.
The better shape your in the easier the withdrawls will be .Oh and you wont want to but you "must" do some kind of excercise"walking" "lifting weights" eact ...If you start to excercise a week before you quit and stay on that regimen ,It will be much easier....I keep reading these cold turkey quitters....Why do that ? Its so much harder and easier to fail that way...And xanax ,there's no way i could make it through withdrawls without xanax..The mental part is much harder than the physical part for me .And without it ,you think about the pills constantly and easily go back to them.
Remember!! when using them to quit.Your not trying to feel "good".. your trying to lessen the bad withdrawlls so don't take much. Many people don't have the willpower to do it this way .But this works ,and i have done it more times thann i can count...Having xanax with this ordeal is a must...
Good Luck,
Nipsey
Can't sleep for anything two hours and wake up and can't fall back to sleep..the rls still here but I took a potassium today and a multi vitamin..all I've been drinking is water..I've completed 4 whole day w/o pills..but i actually got out of bed today thinking that's a big sign of improvement..the last two nights I looked on here Nd read sum stuff its real supportive and informational...I gotta quit this time and I never wanna go thru the feelings of the last few days ever again! Day 5 2maro just gotta keep my mind stuck on never doing em again and i think ill be alright
Sorry! Okay: Get some Immodium and take it. It will help all kinds of symptoms for you. You need a lot of liquids: water, juices, green tea...
Get some magnesium and potassium tablets for the restless legs. Hot baths or sauna or hot tub works great and feels great. Keep forcing the fluids and try to eat GOOD food. No take out!
You should begin to feel better tomorrow but you won't be tip top for a month or so. You'll be able to work etc...but the lethargy and insomnia hang around. It goes a lot faster if you exercise/work out/play sports and take vitamins and minerals. See the Thomas Recipe at the bottom of this page.
What else?
Hi,
I am sorry your post was overlooked. there is no way to STOP the withdrawal process. Believe me, everyone here has tried everything. You can ease the process with natural supplements. Here is a link to "The Thomas Recipe" which many use during this process:
http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/Addiction/Thomas-Recipe-Re-Posted/show/16?cid=66
Also make sure you keep hydrated. Drink plenty of fluids. If you can eat something other than fast food, do that. Take hot baths to help with the rls and there is a product called "Hylands Restless Leg" that many have use with success.
Most important, hang in there and don't use no matter what. You will be through the worst of this in a few days.
Post if you have any questions.
