stage 4 chronic cirrhosis

4 years ago i had a liver biospy my liver was stage 0 nov of 07 i had a biospy and tested pos. for stage 4 cirrhosis because of hep c . at my age of 69 they tell me that drug therpy would probably wreck my body , they are advising against therpy So now what do i do anybody out there facing the same problem.      jim in mississippi

thank you for your advice i intend to do just that ,if their are several good clinics in this area if you have any suggestions about who to contact i,m all ears   thank you again jim in mississippi

Sorry to hear of your troubles.  I'm a nurse and would give you this advice - be sure to get at least one other opinion, if not two.  There are MANY ways to treat advanced liver disease now and you should be sure that you get as much information as you can before making any decisions about treatment.  Good luck to you!!
