stopped Vicodin cold turkey

How bad is it to stop taking Vicodin cold turkey. I was taking at least 20 a day for about 2 years now. I just woke up one day and said "that is it"! I am going to OD or die from this stupid drug! Why do doctors just keep giving them to us. I just don't understand. Anyway I am on day 6 and feeling pretty good. I, unlike most of the post that I have read, have TO MUCH ENERGY! I can't stop moving. I can't sleep or sit still of 5 minutes. Is this normal? It feels like a little motor is running inside me. It's strange, but I did loose 6 pounds in 6 days (the only plus to this).

Actually, your "too much energy" thing sounds exactly like you hit the very low end of RLS .......... by day 6 from hydrocodone it would be most unusual for the wd's to get any worse.  Make certain that your recent weight loss was not due to a fluid imbalance situation.  And best of luck to you - you should be shutting the door on this before long....... Now make plans to keep it successful for a long time .............

Great job on 6 days! That is awesome. Usually the worst is over as far as physical symptoms. Sounds like you got lucky. I know in the past when I CT off opiates days 4-6 were the worst (sweating, no energy, diarrhea, rls, ...). Now you should be thinking of aftercare so that you do not relapse. The physical part is easier than the mental part of stopping, IMO.
You are doing great. Keep it up.
