Your doc should be able to give you a taper but here's mine:
4 mgs for 3 days
3 mgs for 2 days
2mgs for 2 days
1 mg for 2 days
.5 mg for 2 days
Jump
If I feel brave I might end up just jumping from 2. If your taking 8 just cut back to 6 and so on. You can cut the strips to adjust your mgs. Your best bet is to talk to the sub doc and get his input. Best of luck, I've struggled for a long time with oxy addiction and one thing I plan on doing different this time is keeping a good mindset and not let fear into the mix and aftercare. My advice is to get a therapist, this addiction is about a lot more then the taking of pills. We need to get to the root of why we feel the need to numb ourselves in order to free ourselves from both pills and the demons that haunt us and caused our addictions.
Okay...this is what I think: It's just too much back and forth. Stop the hydrocodone and
forget the Sub. It didn't work before and who knows about now...Also,Sub should really be managed by your doctor and an entire recovery program started.
I'd go CT on the dose you're taking. Just my opinion. We'll support you all the way! It will be over before you know it and you won't have to worry about the Sub tapering.
Keep posting and good luck!!
thank you for your response - i realized after my posting that i was asking for tapering advice - i am on cymbalta rght now, recently upped on the dose - i guess i more or less want to hear from people that have had good results with coming off hydrocodone with suboxne. I could see they would work when i first tried, i need to talk to the here to help coach, but still would like to hear from anyone else. and thanks again for your reply.

I think the main reason that nobody replied is that we are not allowed to give out dosing information for any medication. I don't think that it is because people think your addiction isn't as serious because most realize it doesn't matter if you're taking one vicodin a day or 30, addiction is addiction.
Have you considered talking with your doctor about getting on an antidepressant short term? What about aftercare? Have you checked into that? I thought I always relapsed because of pain but it wasn't until I took my recovery more serious that I realized aftercare is a must for anyone who wants to be successful. Granted, I did have pain but it was too easy of an excuse.
Best of luck to you.

i know that my problem may not seem as serious, but i do feel the depression - part of my problem, i'm just now realizing, that the depression is from the stopping and then starting again. i had to leave grocery store the other day because i started crying and couldn't stop, embarrassed, had to leave asap. everyone here that posts has had their issues and have much encouragement to be offered, that's wny i keep coming back. i have to stop this cycle, and don't want to be seen as a whiner. I pay attention to what's been said.
