okay im 23 been on orange subs for 3yrs to kick a nasty pain pill habit that I started to kick heroin my biggest fear is being sick so when I went to the Doc he gave me sub- witch I felt was a blessing no longer was I a scumbag druggy it gave me the courage to leave a very abusive relashionship I was cofadent in myself for the first time in a long time so I meet a really good man & got married I was honest about my past but the closest thing to a drug he's done is asprin anyway I desided in nov I would use my last script to wing myself off its been rough but tolertabel today I found out I was pregnet in down to my last half of sub and im consernd bout w/d being pregnet I know they give subutex for that but I want to be off of everything wht is gonna happen? is this safe to do now do I go back to my doc im so worried not so much about me any more buy my baby to be! has any1 got off subs preggers I cant be more then 5wks

Hi. I respect that u r doing this.you are much better off on subutex.id ask about weaning down because wd during pregnancy is very dangerous to baby.I work in a hospital trust me

Absolutely agree. I wouldn't stop taking subs while pregnant its very dangerous to bubby.
I was on subs and delivered a very healthy baby boy. I was constantly monitored closely. Your not even past 3 months, so this is the danger zone of your pregnancy. You don't want to put your baby through and kind of withdrawal or this will stress the baby.
Yes, go see a baby doctor asap and tell them what's going in. Also talk to your sub provider. My sub doctor cleared with the hospital to put me on subs when I was about 30 weeks pregnant.  My baby had no withdrawal and I stayed in hospital for a full week to make sure everything was ok. All the doctors and nurses knew I was on subs and would give me my daily dose of subutex. Its much better using heroin especially when pregnant. Good luck.

Hi-  So, you're taking .5 mg everyday?  Going cold turkey off of any opiate during pregnancy can be dangerous so you would need to wean down...This is something your OB needs to handle with you. Yes, Subutex is used during pregnancy but your situation is different in that you're tapering off.  

I'm sure you're worried about the baby but try to relax...A good OB will know exactly what to do and will take good care of you. Congratulations!
