I'm with Kendra...I responded to your journal post about "my friend" who is pregnant and in withdrawals...
Anyway, when did she drop your dose to 16mg? I'm sure you know it takes a little while to adjust. Call her tomorrow, though, so you can discuss this. Do not go to the streets for this, okay?
I replied to a similar post about your friend in the pregnancy forum... I'm confused. Is it you or your friends in withdrawals??????
so this was my question back in 2010 its now december of 2011 ad it worked that month july i was prescribed suboxone,I got pregnant and my. dr switched my script to subutex i have been on that ever since,i am now pregnant agin and am still on subutex,my dr. dropped my dose and I am sick everyday I used to be on 24 mgs now im on 16mgs a day but its not enuf I have had using thoughts pass trhrough my head just so i dont have to deal with being sick at 2 o clock i the morning,I have an appointment next month I hope she puts my dose back up,I have never ever messed around with my program,I have always bee upfront about my feelings,I think I should let her know I have had some using thoughts, what do u think? should I tell her or no will that just mess me up????
Best to be up front with your doc, but you can find a doc online. See the link that I posted in one of your other posts. there is a list of sub docs in your area. Like IBKleen said, sub is part of a total program that includes counseling and other support - it works.
You can go to the Suboxone website to find a prescribing doctor in your area. Please understand that it is a program that should be followed with counseling and a support group. It is not just a pill to get you off another pill. It is an opportunity to get help and to get off of drugs altogether. Please read up on it before deciding to continue with it. It is not a magic pill and you will have withdrawal from it once you decide to stop. But like I said, if used properly and tapered properly it can be a great tool to get back on track.
Just google suboxone / and your zip code, and you will generate a list. Call anyone and book apptmt yourself. Be honest, and he may ( prob not) refer pain mgmt dr. I'll let you know, forgetting about nerve pain for a moment, that it is easier to get off pain meds then it is suboxone if you use for a long time.
do they prescribe suboxone for pain now? i had no idea. hmmmmm
i was on pain pills for like 4 years and got introduced to subs and it has greatly changed mylife i am doing the best i have ever been besides spendin money on these things i just want to get a script for them so i aint searchin for the stuff havin people know my buisness i live in a very small town.....i know why i need pills or something its to not have the actual physical pain i have...i have like bad nerve pain in my arms and legs and back pain .when i am on subs i dont have as much pain...n i get everything accomplished that i need to
The truth would probably be best that you have been buying them off the street and you want to get into a program to get it . I would also look into aa/na or an addiction therapist so you can get to the route of why you use and get to the point you don't need the sub anymore.
