subutex

are there any known consequences of using buphernorphine intravenously? injecting pills (subutex)can't be good- they must have excipients that are not supposed to be injected onto blood stream -i'm ever so worried of seeing my buddy doing this. he's been injecting himself for at least a whole year now - i take subutex also (we started aboiut same time) but i put them under my tongue - i never used needles anyway - i used to smoke heroin - i think hes having trouble leaving all the "needle ritual" thing i wish i had facts to show him - like long term consequences of doing what he does.
have you ever had a case like this?hes the only person i know who does this and when i mention it ppl seemed shoked - im even more scared for him...
thanks!

do you both happen to have the same doctor  I am sure you know how dangerous this is and yes it is the needle ritual .Is he getting any recovery care because it does not sound that way .If he is he needs to open up and let his conselor know what he is doing. If not he is not going to recovery
