Hang in there! I'm about 2 weeks out and at this point you're feeling what you should be. I think you should feel like you're turning a corner by tomorrow or the next day. In the meantime, just give in to feeling yucky and don't try to be too productive. You may want to stay busy though so the cravings don't get the better of you. Lots of vitamins, fluids...I drank OJ cuz of the vitamin C and potassium and take lots of warm baths. Keep in mind....you just have to get through this day, or this hour, or this minute. Little goals right now. Just don't ruin the days you have behind you. We're all on your side and pulling for you.
You'll get some vicodin people responding but until then, despite the fact that my DOC was alcohol, yes, you're probably feeling exactly "as expected" especially if you took the vicodin to self-medicate for depression. My close friend was a vicodin addict, and without it she became quickly depressed. Can you consult a doctor about screening for depression, or to help you figure out why you needed medication to feel normal or motivated? When I finally started taking Lexapro, an antidepressant, it made a HUGE impact in my life. Best of luck and don't start back. Find an NA or AA meeting and tell someone there how you're feeling; you'll be amazed at how much help and support you'll get. You don't have to have decided you're an addict, just tell someone that you don't want to use pills anymore, but don't like the feeling. It will help you so much. Take care and don't ruin your 3 day start on being clean and sober....
I have been taking Amino Acids 2-3 times a day from the Amino Protocol at the bottom right of the page
I just stopped the same amount and today is the 5th day for me and I just felt like doing something and being myself today. You should be out of the dark in about another 30-48 hrs.
