Question

Although today started a little rough for me, I'm pulling through and am amazed to find myself sitting here writing this on Day 8!!! Just wanted to let you guys know that YOU can also do this! It will NOT be easy but hell it's SO much better than the alternative no?
Reach out on here as often as you can. even when you are at your worst.....ESPECIALLY when you're at you worst. The help I have had from people on this site has been immeasurable!!!! I was very skeptical when I first signed up but quickly learned how many people are out there going through EXACTLY what you are!!! You may feel it at times but you are truly not alone in your endeavor. Ride the rollercoaster, it will be at times, brutal. Take baby steps, dont beat yourself up!!! If you have made the decision to quit, you've taken the first big step! Keep reminding yourself of your goal, prepare, take your vitamins and hydrate. 
I would like to again thank ALL of the wonderful people who have reached out on here and offered me their support and extra thanks to my special friend I've made thru this site, you've been everything to me through this!
I know i have just started on a long journey of continued sobriety and there will be ups and downs, but again to any new comers to this site or situation, it DOES get better!!! And it feels frikin Great!!!

Fabulous post! That's what it's all about! You just put on that seatbelt and ride the rollercoaster.  That's the attitude that will get you well. I can tell you will be a great asset to both the forum and yourself. I tell you without this place I would have never made it! Great job! Week one is done.

Congrats!  Continue the challenge!  You may still have some crappy days ahead... but, you are through the terrible part.  Stay strong and continue to count the clean days!  :-)  We are always here, 24/7.

Very Good! When I joined back in 2012 I had already 3 months in and was hitting all the meetings I could..I also hung out here and had some mentors. Some have 6-7 years in and some have almost 2 like me. If it was not for all of the Support I would not be here today..We have 2 Community Leaders on here and one of them (dominosarah) used to tell me I was in the Diaper Stage..I thought WTF is she taking about..Well as time goes on you will learn and at first it is Baby Steps all the Way! lol Now she just told me I was in the "pull-up stage". lmao. There are some caring and sharing souls out here and I had learned even more from those WAY ahead of me..Meeting like AA/NA do the same. I wish you all the best and I pick up that YOU might just be one out of many that work on this in the right way..lol Stay Clean/Sober & continue to Work on Recovery.

Like I mentioned, i was skeptical of the whole "support" thing prior to visiting this site but again, you guys have proven me wrong. So I will continue to seek support.

Glad to know you are feeling pretty fair right now..Just know that it does take TIME for the Brain/Body to balance. It is a very slow process with LOTS of changes as you continue to heal. SUPPORT is a must! You will be peeling off some layers as you continue to grow. Keep the POSITIVE ATTITUDE, but also Keep your GUARD UP at all times. Your eyes & ears will keep seeing & hearing more and more as you process & learn through out time.
