tramadol for hydrocodone withdrawl???

Via-BlackBerry 8530- I have been abusing lortab 10/500 for about 5 months. (10-15 a day). I have a script for 15-50mg tramadol. Should I use the tramadol to help ease the lortab comedown? Will it even help? Or should I go cold turkey? I've read other posts about tramadol, and don't know which way to go. I do know I want my life back, and I can't afford the down time of the painful withdrawls I get. Experienced advice would be greatly helpful.

I wouldn't use Tramadol at all.  I would try natural supplements or even motrin or ibuprofen.  You don't want to trade one pill for another and that essentially would be what would happen.  Tramadol is highly addictive and for an addict would not be a very good thing.  How many lortabs were you taking a day and for how long???

if you do decided to use the trams to help... DO NOT GET A REFILL! you will most likely trade one addiction for another and i think the wd from trams are worse and longer then the wd from hydros just try to get by on the bare bare minimum so your not feeling like you are going to die. but having such a small amout you should be ok.. just dont get more

unfortunately yes it will work but you may find yourself liking them a whole lot and then like me realize that you can keep going with your addiction without much fear of w/d because you have a bottle of "safety net"  i agree with dominosarah there are some natural supplaments that will help you through it. tramadol/ultram are very brutal! some doc's still do not know how really aweful and powerful they really are! so please be very careful if you use one to combat the wd effects of the other!

I would get rid of the tramadol and try some natural supplements instead.  You dont want to get caught up in trams.  They are brutal.

Have you cut off the supplier to your pills?
