I forgot to add i am then reducing the amount weekly.
Hi iv been on tramadol for two years and today went to see my doctor he was very very helpfull towards my addiction. At my worst which is just recently i was taking 20-30 a day. I had been cold turkey for two days which was hard enough but your time must have been alot worse. My doctor has prescribed me tramadol which my partner is giving me at the moment at the prescribed dose. I dont know if this will help you in any way. I hope u get through it.
Hi Bonnie~ I've not taken Tram but others here have. They should be on shortly...
The withdrawals tend to hang on for a few weeks, longer than with other opiates. What you are experiencing is normal.
Keep taking in fluids. Eat bananas and apples. Be sure you're getting enough vitamins and minerals and that your diet is rich in protein.
Pick up some Hylands Restful Legs at Walgreens/Walmart. Take four at once. It should help the RLS. Don't take Benadryl;it makes it worse for a lot of people.
Try Melatonin for sleep at night.
Try to get some exercise;even a short walk.
You need to jump start your brain now or you'll get lethargic. Diet and exercise really helps.
Keep posting!
Thanks for that. Have been reading a lot of posts, but havent seen anything yet that might give me an indication of how long symptoms will last, but will keep looking. Still have to work out how to manage chronic pain from back and fibromyalgia.
Hi bonnie, sorry this post got overlooked. I have never been on tramadol, but there are many others here that have and I wanted to bump this back up for you. I do know going cold turkery off trams can be dangerous and he ll tho from what I read and seems to take longer. I hope someone that has been on them responds to you. Welcome to the forum. Congrats on those 12 days.
