I have been taking norco for two years for a bad back and just recently discovered I was addicted. abought a year ago I started to have horrible body aches and mental clouding I started going to the dr with my complaints and for a year I thought I was dying some horrible illness, well it took a whole year of torture before I read a pamphlet from the pain rehab center about withdral symtoms suddenly it all made sense I can't believe that I didn't put 2&2 together I was more upset that the dr's who were prescribing me this garbage never figured it out over 30 dr visits and at the end they were telling me I have fibromialga and its all in my head I am taking 6 a day, and I am hearing that is not alot but the aches and pains and mental fog it gives me is not worth it I am still waiting for my second Dr appointment to get me off this ride and not looking forward to detox never again and as a side note the substance abuse counselor. I went to when I figured out what was wrong with me told me I wasn't. Abusing the drug he said I wasn't using it regularly and that is why I was having the withdrawls wanted to call my doctor and up my prescription I was floored my advice is don't ever start the side effects aren't better than the pain you are suffering.

Why would you suggest that he substitute Lyrica for his current drug of choice when he says in his post that he was taking the pills for recreation?  He's here for help stopping not suggestions as to which drugs would be better for recreation.

It's probably a good idea to be careful about suggesting drugs to addicts who are looking for help quitting on a drug addiction site.

Hey kboot:

The wd's will be similar to what they were last time.  Possibly a bit stronger but nothing that you can't deal with.  Some people on here suggest taking a couple days off work or something like that so that you don't have to deal with working at the same time as feeling like crap.  If possible I'd do that but it certainly isn't necessary...just a nice thing to do if you can since nobody feels like working while they don't feel well.

As you probably know the worst days will be the first three or four and then it will get better quickly.  I see a lot of people on here suggesting the Thomas Recipe which is a recipe of vitamins and things that are supposed to make things a bit easier.  I tried them and it didnt help me at all but others have said it helped them a little.

You can get through the wd's.  You'll feel bad for a few days and then it will be done.  You know how quickly a week goes by.  At the end of a week you'll be well through the bad part.

Keep coming on here and posting and reading posts.  You'll get valuable support and information.  and then you'll post and help other people going through the same thing.

Hello kboot,
I was hooked on oxy and hydros. Had to taper down using subs. Found a program that worked wonderfully. Been clean since November 11th last year. Feels great to be back to normal. Hang in there and do the right thing!

Hi kboot

You are going to ruin your liver if you keep that up. Just think of all the compound you are putting in you. You do space them out? You wouldnt eat that many advill a day would you?

piece of cake. Try replacing the vicodin with a piece of dark chocolate. It's all in your head. Well most of it. YOu just need to set a date and make the decision! Read some more of these posts you are at a very low dose! You won't have any problems. To start with vicoden is at the lowest of the opiate family of drugs. Or very close to the lowest. You just have it in your head. you are lucky you are thinking of it the way you are tho because you don't want to step up to something stronger! Many people on here could have taken 20 of those at one time and felt nothing. Be smart stop now!
