Just wanted to say I so feel your pain as ultram is also my DOC. Not to be discouraging but ultram has a long 1/2 life so the wd's seem to be a little extended compared to drugs that clear the body quicker...I too am a RN. Basically all you can do is treat whatever symptoms are bothersome. Ibuprofen, advil, soaks for pain, benadryl or melatonin for sleep. There are Rx meds that help if ya have a doc on board, like clonodine which does help some a couple weeks worth of antianxiety meds IMO help like klonopine.
Ultram also has SSRI properties which is kinda a double whammy. I can't taper but it wouls be less of a shock to the system if possible. In all honesty I have felt better quicker w/ CT from hydro-took me maybe 4-6 wks to feel decent after CT w/tram. Good Luck- if you want it you can do it!!!!!!!!!!
you have to stay in bed take hot soaks and take benadryl to sleep while you go through this, it usually reaches its peek by day 4 then you will start to fill much better on day 5, i've done it before and i am a registered nurse so heed my advice also have someone stay with you, it is very comforting, tell them what is happening to your body it helps you deal with it.
Hi and Congrats on quitting...that is a HUGE step...how much and how often were you taking Trams?
