update: trying to kill my sub demons ...

Today is day 6 of my journey through this w/d hell, and I'm still not feeling any better... I don't know what to do now, I'm vomiting none stop it seems and my head feels like it's gonna explode! My emotions are out of control and my kids and husband are looking at me like I'm dying, and I feel like it... I'm an emotional mess and I'm no better physically. How much longer do I have to battle this?

No to the L-tyrosine!   Not with the Cymbalta...stick with the vitamins and exercise!

Hi- Vit C, the B vitamins and Vit D are all excellent and we just don't get enough in our regular diets!   You need to stay away from the amino acids though (like tryptophan,Melatonin,5 HTP etc...)

The thing that really helps is exercise and it's the one thing we find so difficult! But, I promise you, if you get yourself just outside and take a brisk walk it will help your mood enormously! Try it and let us know, okay?

L-Tyrosine and B6 B12 are the best.  I've been taking them since the beginning and my mental function has been great no matter how terrible the physical aspect is.  L-tyrosine is natural dopamine-I've been taking 1000 mgs 2 x a day.  It really does help.  Also-try getting a hot magnesium drink called Calm (I'm in Canada I don't know where you are) It really helps to replace what your losing and helps with restless legs and pain.  Oh and POTASSIUM is a must.  I don't know what to tell you about the antidepressant-I know they work for some people but they made me feel like my soul was missing.  I really hope you feel better soon....Hang in there the end is near(:

Thanks for the support! I just took my first dose of clonidine and phenegrin... I actually feel a lil better. Its been about 45 mind since I had taken the dose and I'm beginning to c the top of the slope, so to speak. I'm really in a spot of severe depression right now and my doc put me on cymbalta as well, but is there anything that I can do to perk up my mood and motivate me immediately? I know antidepressant take time to work, just as everything else does, and I'm willing to give my body time... just this damn latharjick feeling is making me crazy! Any suggestions on vitamins that help?

You could try taking Gravol for the vomiting-if u can't hold anything down it comes in suppository form-trust me it works.  Also-I don't know if you are using clonidine but it killed most of the gastro symptoms of acute withdrawal for me.  I am on day 6 as well and still not sleeping and suffering but I feel the end is in sight.  You can do this.  Clonidine has to be prescribed so I guess you would have to wait to talk to a doc.  It's what they give patients in detox.  Sending you lot's of support(:

Congrats on 6 days!!

If the vomiting doesnt stop you need to go and be seen by a doctor.  You dont want to get dehydrated.  Your emotions will be all over the place right now.  Let yourself feel these as we numbed them up for so long.  Hang tight, this doesnt last forever but like i said before, watch the vomiting............Let us know how you are.
