oh, i am so glad you are feeling a bit better. pain really is a downer. but it is the body's way of telling us that something is just not right with it. and we cannot just ignore it and take pain pills. we have to try and fix what is wrong. unfortunately the stupid doctors just want to give us the quick fix and take the pills.

now that you are not taking anything you may notice things that have been wrong for awhile and had just been covered up. so pay attention to your pains.

i found out that i had heel spurs that had been for quite a while but it had been masked. and it is much harder for them to go away, the longer you let it go.

so you are on your way and there are some very good days ahead for you!!

Hang in there.  Keep going.  You will make it through to the other side.  Everyone here knows what you are going through.  You're not alone.  Someone wrote recently that it gets better for everyone, although you feel like you are the one person that it won't get better for.  That's a lie don't believe it.  Keep posting often.

Tony- its sooo good to hear from you.  I'm really happy you are still toughing it out, but i'm sorry you are still suffering.  Please just give it a few more days, I think the first 1-2 days can't count because our bodies use up all the drug we have stored in it.  Then the sh**t hits the fan (oops sorry LOL).   Keep up w/the meds you have.  You'd be surprised how bad it is w/o them.  You're on the downhill slope-and we are at the bottom cheering you on!

For the stomach upset try getting your doc to call in a script for

Bentyl )Dicyclomine generic

It helped tremendously with the stomach pain and issues when I detoxed off 480mgs of methadone.

Immodium helps too but be careful as it is technically an opiate but does not cross the blood/brain barrier which is why it doesnt get you high. But in high doses for long periods of time, over the counter immodium can cause its own wd's

Best of luck,
Henry

motrin is very, very harsh on your stomache. that may be the culprit.

if you are able to keep that down- some very bland foods may be alright.

hope you are feeling better soon.

sooo true about the probiotics.  I had the same problem and broknbk mentioned I should try them and it was the only things that helped.  I bought a really high concentrate of them and took them three times a day for ten days, then only one a day and it helped me stomach so much.  I was taking close to 40 of those norco a day.  I could even taper because I was so addicted so I did it ct with the help of some detox meds.  it will get better, i promise.

Hang in there is the best thing to read.  I'm on day 3, and i'm feeling better today.  I only took small doses for about 10 months, so I guess my body is recovering faster.  But less than 24 hours ago, I thought I would have to go to the hospital it was so bad.  I paced up and down the hall and took epson salt baths, and immodium helped alot with the stomach cramps.  I can handle the symptoms now where yesterday I couldn't, so keep going.  You will make it!

That was some very great info.  Thanks!

Tonyd:
Hang in there man.  If you just can't stand the w/d-go to the outpatient detox.  If you decide to go back on sub, do not take it more than 30days or you'll be in the same boat as now.  If they tell you its a 3month deal, insist on less than 30, or as what they can do for you w/o it.  The stomach stuff is horrible, but completely normal for what you're going through.  take brokn's advice- its great stuff.

sorry that you are feeling so bad.
our digestive tracts get totally messed up.

so you can try some pro-biotics. they are the good bacteria that is suppose to be in our systems but has pretty much been wiped out from taking alot of scripts and other toxins. they will help to balance your digestive system. "Whole Foods" is the only place i know of that sells the good kind that has to be kept refrigerated. if you do not buy those , than do not bother. they are live bacteria and must be refrigerated.

also you could try digestive enzyemes. you take one every time you eat and it helps to break down your food and what is in your system already.

for the air bubbles you can try anything over the counter that has simethicone in it. Gas-X is a good one.

and last of all- the all undesirable enema.

and of course as much water as you can stand. try to stay away from the ant acid products. they do not resolve the problem, your body has to balance out.

hope you are feeling better soon.

The worst is almost over. Stick with it because in the end you will be so much better and its so worth it!! Day 5 was a turning point for me. Stay strong and try to keep yourself busy. I know its easier said then done but it really does help alot!! Best of luck to you!

your symptoms should be starting to let up very soon. W/d from these types of meds generally lasts about a week..you will not be 100% though but you will feel alot better. Give it a little more time..By Monday you should be able to function better..
