vicoden, sleeping pills and elevated liver enzymes

I am a 41 yr old female with radiculopathy, neuropathy and herniated disc's in my neck.  I am currently being treated by a pain management doctor. I have had several steroid injections and have serious mood altering side effects from it so am holding off on doing another one, in the meantime i am taking anywhere from 6-10 vicoprofens a day, i start to get breakthrough pain after about an 1 and half.  My doctor currently switched me to percocet and after taking only two realized i can't take it.  Everytime i did i ended up with the worst possible headache, and i cant function at work. I also take about 4 otc sleeping pills at night because i cant sleep.  I having been doing that for about 1 yr and i know i need them because when i dont take it i cant sleep at all.  I started out taking 2 at a time the recommended dosage.  I have increased the dosage because after awhile 2 didnt work.  I was just told by my family doctor that my liver enzymes are elevated, suprise! suprise!  I  always knew about the possibility of liver damage but never really  put much thought into it until now.  Please give me some advise as to how to get off the otc sleeping pills, the alternatives and what to do about my vicodin intake, i am currently out of my vicoprofen which isnt due to be refilled until the 22nd of this month, today is only the 8th.  I am in pain now and will have to take the percocet to relieve the pain which gives me a terrible headache which then i have to take advil to relieve that.  I feel like im spiraling out of control, and would love to be off of everything.  Please help

I just read your post. A few things....Vicoprofen had Ibprofen in it, not Tylenol, so it should not be affecting your liver. (Ibprofen effects the kidneys)
Percocet does contain Tylenol, in different doses. The headaches you got when the Dr switched you fron Vicoprofen to Percocet, were probably due to the switch, not the medicine itself. How long were you in the Vicoprofen and how many a day, before the Dr switched it to Percocet? I am not sure what the cause of the increases liver enzymes could be, what sleeping med are you taking?
