vicodin with alcohol

I came across a bottle of vicodin 5mg hydrocodone/500mg acetaminophen on thursday night. That night I ended up taking about 12 beers, 6 shots, and 7 of the vicodin. I was irresponisible that night and was wondering if my system would be cleared of that by now. Looking back on it im just thinking thats a lot for my body to handle in one night. Tonight I just wanted to enjoy my standard saturday night (drink some beers with a few friends). Does my body need more time to recover from the other night or would this be okay to do? I feel fine but im just not familiar with the effects of taking that much vicodin.

yeah i won't be doing anything like that again...friday was not fun. I read some things on the internet about acetaminophen that got me a bit paranoid considering the amount of alcohol I had that night but ill be sure to stay away from the pills from now on. THANKS for the response.

Back in my drinking days the warning on the pill bottle would say "Warning! Alcohol increases the effect of this medicine". I would see it as "BONUS! Alcohol.... lol

That's 3500 mg of acetaminophen which isn't a huge amount. It is quite a bit if taken at one time though but to be honest I have taken much more than that at once and for a extended period of time. Luckily I didn't do any damage to my liver or kidneys. You should be just fine since you haven't made a habit out of it. As I'm sure you know, mixing alcohol with acetaminophen is a very bad combination so make sure you don't do that again. Actually, don't ever even take the vicodin again unless needed! As I'm sure you know it's not a road you want to go down.
I can't really say for sure whether it would be fine to drink a few beers, but I think you'd be okay to do so. If you are worried about though I probably wouldn't. There's always next Saturday night.
