Hi...I'm on day 5 after a few year percocet med ritual; kegit and prescribed.  I have ups and downs...day 3 was great for me...I also came off a taper that I did but day 4 and 5 was not so great.  I think were in for a long road to recovery.  Today, I'm going to force myself back into the gym for some cardio workout and sweats...hope that helps.

Unfortunately, you are still going through withdrawals. I personally went through the same battles over 5 years ago & received a ton of guidance & support here at medhelp...mostly from other addicts that have gone through the same, are in the process of going through the same or are preparing to go through the same. I actually logged on to look up a rash & wondered if the forum was still going strong. I was a professional athlete that was prescribed bottle after bottle of pain killers. Needless to say, I became addicted. I chose to get sober because even though I've got a ton of injuries, I'd rather walk with a limp or suffer through back pain than let some pill run my life & control my thoughts.

Back to you...My experience was horrible the 1st week, really bad the 2nd week & got better with each following week. The BAD news is that for the 1st year, I'd have random withdrawal type symptoms hit me out of the blue. Depending on how much you took & how often you took it, your experience will probably not be that much different than mine. Just keep in mind that even though a year sounds like an eternity right now...it blows by. I never thought that I could actually become addicted to anything but the truth is...we're ALL vulnerable. The one thing that helped more than anything during that year was exercise. You're going to feel so tired & just plain crappy but if you force yourself to get up & do little more today than you did yesterday...you'll notice that you're not just feeling "back to normal"...you feel better than you ever have. Good luck & keep your head up. I'm living proof that if you want to kick pills...it can be done.

I am sitting here on the computer, rather than laying in bed like I should be. Im just looking for help. I am single mom, hairstylist (not currently) . I started taking vicodin 10mg a few years ago after a car accident... you all lknow the rest. I managed to take just 2-3 a day for a long time. THe past six months my use has increased. The past month up to 6-8 or more plus some perc and benzos thrown in sometimes.  I didnt think had problem with vic until a few weeks back when I tried to not take it first thing in the morning. My back would kill, so i'd take one. Now I am on day FIVE of not taking any hydrocodone or oxy. I thought i was fine and would skate thru. A friend gave me some seboxin, I took one on day two. Couldnt tell a difference, felt fine anyway.(except for twice a day or so getting pale, sweating, chills and being dizzy...) Now day five is it possible to JUST now be getting the worst w/d? I am sick . Super sick. Wondering if its the flu or w/d. I just took a Seboxin so i guess if i feel better, it wasn't the flu. Please let me know if anyone had this experience. I want to go back to work, Cant do hair when get dizzy and sick all the time! Any ideas/tips would be welcome
