vicodin withdrawal

Hi Everyone,
I've been reading everyone's stories and I think I need help. I suffered a bad bone injury about a year ago. I was getting treatment without vicodin then lost my health insurance. My sister was getting vicodin and starting letting me have them for my ongoing pain. I've been taking Hydrocodone 7.5 about 6 times a day for almost 2 months. I was afraid I  was getting addicted so I've only taken 1 a day for 3 days. My body hurts pretty bad, I'm going to the bathroom a lot and today I lost total interest in everything. I found myself kind of depressed. Have I been on them long enough and taken enough to be addicted?
Thanks,
Rach

One a day is prob. only keeping you on the edge of w.d. and if you plan to quit then you may consider doing so and ending the "one a day" thing.  Or if you are just trying to tapper then I would suggest one every 12 hrs. in order to keep you out of the withdrawls.  When you do quit, make sure you have no more pills around.  Then jump off and within 24 hrs you should be in withdrawl.  Be sure and have the things you will need.  I took clonidine and a few tranzene quarted-up. Also the immodium, otc pain meds, heating pad, lots of hot baths or showers, viatamins, liquids ect.
Best wishes
Ella

hi there....do you find they control your life?  if so yes you might be but you should have very minor wds and eveything you are going through is normal....you can taper down and feel less wds...stop now before you really get hooked...good luck to you and please read the health pages...maria
