My husband is a crack addict.  He sweats and smells like a metallic, melted plastic, kind of smoky smell.  It is a distinct odor.  Our mattress, our sheets, clothing...everything smells like this.  It does not go away....

I agree, it is a chemical smell, somewhat sweet w/ ammonia. Crack accelerates sweating and it gets in your clothes. I have been around people where the smell is so bad that it burns your nostrils. Bad hygiene doesn't help either. Crackheads are not overly concerned with bathing. But even if they do, it will come through their pores and urine. Very bad smell.

It is crystal meth.  It smells sickeningly sweet and the stink is taking
over in the northeast.  People even are so brazen as to smoke in public
restrooms.  It stinks and like smokers they can't smell themselves due
to being used to the stench.  But, some people pretend that it is some
innocuous clove cigarette.  Big difference one stinks enough to make you gag the other is mildly sweet.

i wouldnt use smell as a method of accusation...many medical conditions can cause a metallic odor as well..

I agree ...I have also smelt that chemical smell on people using methamphetamine..."crystal meth" "ice" "crank"

speedy drugs do cause u to sweat more...but lack of a drug//ie mild wd that some experience during sleep due to 8 hours without their doc..can cause a sweet, acrid odor...dunno...may need to figure it out by a process of elimination

I have smelled a chemical odour on someone who was using crack, but I dont think it was body odour..just poor hygiene

I use to get that smell when I used crank.. Speed.
