whats a healthy time aproach to stop diazapam and zoplicone?

hi, now i admitted ive got probs and neeed help and happy u people are here. what is realistic  target to be free? i guess it differs., . last night i took more than ever. and not much was going on, i just wanted to be out,asleep. been diagnosed with depression,. and in grieving process. feel like a shadow of who i was with huge pupils and broken hearted. but somewhere deep in, there is one star shining. thanx u all for being here

hi again.yep,zopiclone/imovane=same thing.ive been thinking that since the imovane no longer helps with sleep that it may b an idea 2 drop it immediately and substitute/stabilise it with 5mgs valium per 7.5mg imovane tab and then taper off.it would also allow for a milder/more accurate taper since u can get 2mg valium tabs.most benzo dtoxs are universally treated with an equivalent valium dose.like i said imovane isnt a true benzo but it works much the same,wds and all.sumthing 2 ponder.take care

hi.i spent 18 months on a gradual taper off 75mgs of diazepam.the counciling org(TRANX) reccomended i allocate 1 month for every year on benzos toward my taper eg 2years on v=2 month taper.it took 4eva but i did it.imovane,while not a true benzo,needs to be treated as though it were when dtoxing.slow and steady wins the race.ideally a benzo taper should be overseen by an xperienced GP.the wds can b especially frightening when we are unsure whats happening.i wish u well on yr journey.

i am on anti depressants also,

zoplicone been taking 1 or 2 7.5 nightly with 2 diazapam, 5 mils, sometimes my tongue goes all floppy next day.

im really scared/

going to set up taper plan.

im up already and its 4.51 here in uk.   the pills dont keep me asleep no more.

my pupils pop out my head and i need more.

god help me/ us. or whoevers out there.

be careful with the diazapam...you should be weaned off that.  W/D from benzos can be dangerous and even fatal....I would contact your doc.  Were you taking full blow zopiclone or like lunesta?  zopiclone is actually a hypnotic...I would imagine it should be tapered like an anti-depressant or the like so that your body doesnt go crazy.  I would talk to a doc.

have you tried antidepressnts they work for me  although I never want off them I need them but they don't get you high just keep you level.  that what they should call them level.  I notice I don't get mad at too much either they make me calmer and not so  highstrung freakin out all the time.  drugs I think mess with your emotional developement I'm sure ther are few that would agree  I'm tapering and it works for me and reading these post there is mostly real nice people on here. just take less and you'll feel like you have some control.
