Withdrawl is not an option for your baby! Idk what to say! I have had 4 children and was addicted to oxycontin when I found out I was pregnant with my 4th so I had my doc put on percocet and I took 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon and 2 in the evening! I didn't withdrawl and my doc told me the baby only gets 4 percent of what I was taking! I was lucky my son came out with absolutley no withdrawl! I'm not saying this will work for u I'm just saying withdrawl could be very harmful for your baby!
At this point it is probably too late to taper from Suboxone safely and comfortably. Acute withdrawals may hurt the pregnancy and three weeks is not enough to completely taper off the 16 mg you are on. Suboxone has been used safely in both pregnancy and nursing and as long as you nurse your baby, s/he should not go through the withdrawals. Baby will wean slowly with you as you gently taper while nursing or when s/he weans down from nursing.
Do communicate with your doctor or midwife so that you are on the same page. So, to reiterate, as long as you are nursing, the baby will not go into withdrawals. Good luck to you and my best wishes.
