pecocet addiction? Seeking professional medical advice

Hi my Boyfriend who is almost 25 snorts Percocet which his mother openly gives him as a coping mechanism to deal with his stress. As far as I know she's been doing this for awhile.
He swears up and down he is not addicted to them but just likes the feelings is gives him. I am unsure of how often he snorts these pills even though he says he doesn't do it often, maybe once or twice a month. However, I am still very worried that this is a much more serious issue than he tries to get me to believe.
I’ve been doing a lot of research on the drug trying to figure out if this is a serious issue for his health and if this could explain where a lot of our relationship issues stem from.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
I have so many unanswered questions.
Does he need help?!

Thank you so much. I assumed this was the case. It's nice to be reassured. I've tried having that conversation with him before. I'm not sure what the next step to take is since he doesn't really like talking about it and doesn't admit it's an issue. Any advice on where to  turn or how to handle this situation?

First this is an oral medication that is not supposed to be snorted. Second issue , is he is using drugs to deal with feelings of stress. If he cannot cope with feelings , then how is his future going to be. Life is not always wonderful and how we deal with it , will decide the results we will get. Regardless if he needs physical help, he needs mental help to learn how to cope with feelings in a healthy manner.
