Help with oxycodone withdrawal

I'm 19 and been on oxycodone 30MG 4/day for over 7 months. I am now 6 days off the medication.

When will I mentally start to feel normal again?

When you take opiates for a long time like you have, your body's physiology has been altered. Your central nervous system has created a multitude of opioid receptors that all are sceaming for endorphins (opiates) to fill them, but your body has now forgotten how to make them by itself.  It will take time - two to four weeks at least, for your receptors to downregulate (for the brain begin to heal) and to start making its own endorphins. Brain heals pretty slowly, so it may take you as long as a couple of months to get rid of feelings of sluggishness, restlessness and depression. The best thing you can do is take good care of yourself, eat healthy food, stay hydrated, keep active and busy. Stay away from sugar, soda, and simple carbs. Do not consume caffeine at least 6 hours prior to bedtime.
Let me know how it goes. Good luck and stay strong.

Also sorry but one more question say I have surgery in the feature . If I take the narcotics as prescribed ? Or would that be a huge no no ??? To b honest I don't WANT to use again. What would u say the best way to stop with out medical help? Say same story applies here but age of around 25 .. I am on day 6 , cold turkey !!! I just got angry of not even getting a feeling from the dose (100-160mg/day) for about four months and finally facing the fact that I was addicted and it was no longer a rush.  so I threw everything down the toilet And just quit! Let me tell u IT IS HELL !!! Start of day seven ! Still no Good sleep at all, maybe 30 min last night . But besides that the worst is over !! No more sweats , shakes , aches etc etc etc etc . Feeling really good but just no sleep !?!?  Anyways what do u think the best way to do it with out getting real help and the person wants to quit ?!?!?!? I have friends in the same boat and want to help them ! I am never messing with a opiate again!!! Also one more question (sry first time poster/Long time reader !! ) when will sleep come back ?? Thanks !!!
