Is my dose considered high?

I previoussly was taking 2-3, 10/325 percs every few hours. Total of 15-20 a day. After scaring myself frantically I tried to go CT. I couldn't handle the WD so I decided to taper. I now am taking 10-12 a day. 11/2-2 at a time and trying to space them out every four hours if possible. I just want to know if this is considered a high dose and will my WD be less once I taper down. I'm assuming it's going to take weeks to taper off/down because of the high quantity. I just can't take off work and I have two kids so I can't deal with the major WD. U guys have all been great here and I need this support. I haven't had a chance to make it to an NA mtg yet but I want to as well. Ty

Thank you. I didn't realize how hard I was going to have to work at this. How did I ever let this happen- I'm sure everyone says this- I just need to try it my way for now. I told my husband last night and be is going to help me. I felt so relieved once I told him that I actually slept better then I had in weeks

Please see the prior answers to your question.  Your dose is on the low to moderate side for someone addicted to opioids.

Understand that when people actually DO get clean by using the steps, they only do so if the steps are by far the most important thing in life.  People who find recovery don't think about going to meetings-- they go to meetings. Lots of them. NA, AA, CA-- any are fine.  People who get clean by the steps often go every single day-- doing what it takes to get there.  If a person is trying to stop opioids without methadone or buprenorphine, the only hope of making it and staying clean, in my opinion, is by completely giving one's self to a recovery program-- i.e live, eat, and breathe recovery.  Even then, the odds are stacked against sobriety.  But you can get there if you WORK IT-- HARD.
