Shawn,

Do me a favor, find a midwife or an OB you like and trust. Your baby will be fine, G-d willing. Relax and enjoy your pregnancy.

So I went to my dr today and another mid wife was there never seen him before and proceeds to make me feel horrible for taking this medication and then tells me that the baby's liver is not working so all the medicine I've took is just sitting in her system and will probably have issues. He was so rude. But does this sound right.?

Congratulations on your pregnancy. 1. If you only take one a day, your withdrawals should be minimal. It is probably better for you to cut down to half a pill for a few days, than a  quarter of a pill for another few. You should also tell your OB about this so he can monitor your baby. 2. The hydrocodone is relatively safe in pregnancy, so your baby should be fine, G-d willing. In the best of circumstances, mothers always pray for the health of their newborns. All we can do is take good care of ourselves when we are pregnant.  3. If you slowly wean down from hydrocodone, the baby will wean gently with you and will not have any withdrawals when born. You will be able to have healthy bonding and nursing like you are meant to. Enjoy.
