The first question I have to ask is. Are you going to an addiction doc or is this just a doc allowed to prescribe Sub? An addiction will help you or atleast should help you. You have to be careful what you take with suboxone. Things like Ativan are extremely dangerous to take with Sub. So are some of the really strong muscle relaxers. Please becareful with these. If your not getting the treatment or care you need from your current doc then I suggest finding a new doc
My doctor will not give me anything bc I told him what was going on, I'm thinking of taking a smaller dose (25%less) tonight and do that every 2 days for about a week then lower another 25% and follow. I've heard sub wds Are worse than hydrocodone but I don't know what else to do . I've tried everything over the counter I can get my hands on and nothing helps. Hot baths help as long as I'm IN the bath but obviously I cant sleep there . Are you or have you taken suboxone strips? If so what is your experience with them..
Thanks for posting I really appreciate it as I cannot get any medical advice from my doctor who is a complete *******
See if your doctor can write you a prescription for some Requip for restlessness, Neurontin for anxiety and malaise, some Flexeril or Soma for a few weeks for muscle spasms and maybe some Seroquel low dose, for sleep. It will make your withdrawals easier. Clonidine will help stabilize your blood pressure and help with the creepy-crawly feeling that you are having. Valerian and Magnesium is sometimes helpful remedies over the counter.
The residual symptoms of insomnia and depression can last another few months. Thus, it is not easy, but it gets better and better over time and you can look forward to a drug free healthy energetic you in the future.
