Tramadol withdrawal

Crawling out of my skin at 48 hours after being 600 mgs/day.  Dr. gave me phenergan, 25 mgs for the nausea but nothing else.  I am hallucinating and seeing little specks that burst into bright light.  Also, my arms and legs and body keep jerking if I try to relax and sleep.  I'm worried about seizure -- should I go to an ER or bear it out?

Thank you Dr Tunig.  I saw my physician yesterday am as I was also withdrawing from 3 mg/day of klonapin which he told me could be the more dangerous one..  They are tapering me off that and it is helping with the other.  Thank you again sir. - Carla

If you are ONLY withdrawing from tramadol, I doubt the ER will be able to do anything for you.  And that type of withdrawal is not typically dangerous;  it is uncomfortable, but not life-threatening.  But if you are at risk for doing something dangerous, for example trying to drive when you are hallucinating, you should go to the hospital to protect yourself from doing something potentially harmful to you or others.
