Vicodin and norcos

I'm detoxing from vicodin and norcos that I've been taking for about a year now. I was taking 7-10 a day. Its been 2 days without and my main side effect it anxiety. I wanna know if it will even go away and if so what is the normal time for it to last?

It takes a long time (anywhere from two to four weeks) to withdraw cold turkey from hydrocodone. I commend your courage and tenacity in sticking with it. Every day should get better and better from now on. Is it possible for you to get a prescription for Neurontin? It would be very helpful with the anxiety and the irritability. It will make you a bit tired, but that is probably OK at this point.  On your own you can try some tincture of Valerian, but it will certainly not be as effective. It will help you sleep though and will give you some relaxation. Magnesium will also be helpful for muscle relaxation.
Good luck to you and please, do not give up!

Thank you very much Julia! And that is helpful information. It has been 4 days now and the anxiety is getting much better. i can sleep thru thee night again! I started taking a B-Complex Vitamin and an over the count sleep aide to help me sleep. The anxiety is still there a little, but only when i get nervous or am sitting for a long period.

Hi My name is Darlene and I am trying to get off the vicodin.  I was taking 7 pills a day of the .7.5mg. . I would take 3 1/2 and then another 3 1/2.  Today is the first day I dont have any and I am ok but a little leary.  I do have ativan and a sleep aid, also I have neurontin for my sciatica but it make me too tired.  I am babysit everyday for a 10 yrs. old, get her ready for school and then I have the day free from 9-3, Truthfully, I am raising her, so my day is busy but I am SCARED TO DEATH of these withdrawals, I notice your date is Nov. 29, so could you please tell me what you went through.  Thank you so much.  i TRIED TO WRITE TO Dr. Julia Aharonov but I dont know how to get her to replay.  Again, thank you for anything you can do to help me.  I really appreciate it.  LOST.
