Thanks for the help, yes the crazy awakenings finally went away after about a week ! Thankfully !!!! Im happy to say that it has been 1 1/2 months so far without a cig and man do i feel GREAT !!! although on friday I was at the Toby Keith concert in my town and I really really wanted a cig but husband kept me away !! Other than that I havent even craved them..I actually get mad at myself sometimes thinking how could I have been addicted to this NASTY habit for 13 years !
hi
i quit a few years ago. i remember having some weird awakenings kind of like that. and sometimes just in the middle of the day my heart would start pounding like crazy for no apparent reason. after a couple weeks things were pretty normal, and it was easier to stop thinking about having a smoke all the time.
one thing that helped me was to drink *alot* of water, like almost constantly. gives you something to do, and the frequent bathroom breaks are almost like the smoke breaks lol.
plus drinking water is pretty good for you all around. I kept that habit and I think it has improved my health in general.
good luck to you. I hope you stay a quitter. after a week it gets easier.. after two weeks much easier. but if you start again, don't beat yourself up over it! its not a failure, just a step in the right direction. keep trying, took me 3 tries but each time was easier to tell you the truth and the last one worked :) good luck to you.
I quit smoking but it seems Im trying to replace my addiction with alcohol. I dont want to become an alcoholic and I dont want lung cancer, what do I do?
