what caused long term use rivotril in frame not more 2 mg..years.?
good evening..
before 17 years i make histerical crisa or nerve crisa is the same..haw want you call this my dizaster but since 17 years.im not the same person..
i seek your help because my doctor obviouslu is unable to help me..
i have had success..from this combination..with rivotril and atidepresant fevarin..
when i become pregnant i stoped all this medications.
i was happy woman..married falling in love and pregnant..
after 1 year hal..coming and divorce..
after 2 years half..the same simptoms coming back..
naw from years i use rivotril in little dosage..
but every day..
this make me feel worrying deeply because my life is from pilow to pilow
please tell me what is the risk..about me?
is this possible this rivotril to damige my brain..my eyes sharpness..or something else.
haw can i stop this medication....i live in this way..near by..20 years..

Rivotril is a branded form of clonazepam, which is in the class of 'benzodiazepines' like valium and Xanax (alprazolam). They are insidious substances that are easy to build a high tolerance to, and they can be very difficult to stop. Discontinuation symptoms include extreme anxiety and even seizures if stopped too quickly.
The proper way to stop is to taper the medication slowly over weeks or months. Usually people do better if someone else controls the medication during the taper. I've found that some people do better if I prescribe a non-addictive anticonvulsant during the taper process, such as depakote or gabapentin.
The hardest part for some people is dealing with the brightness of their emotions and feelings off the medication. It is as if there is need to 'desensitize' to the harshness of life, after being fuzzy for so long. The effects of benzodiazepines are completely reversible though, provided you taper off safely. Go slow, be patient and determined, and try to make continual progress. If you absolutely cannot stop, and your dose continues to increase, you may need detox or residential treatment.
