I am sorry you are going through this and understand it all too well. I have heard it can take several weeks to a month of feeling horrible.  The nights without sleep is what takes the longest to go away. That can take up to several more months. You should be able to see your PCP and they should not be allowed to tell your husband unless you give them permission. Make sure when you talk to them you don't want anyone else to know about your medical care there. There are papers you can sign stating who they can and cannot share the information with. Ask for that and put on there no one.
Hopefully that will help you out.  Explain to your PCP what you are going through and they shoul be able to help you out. Make sure you tell them you only need short term help with anxiety, sleep, and any other things like diarrhea or vomiting. There are many meds that can make it more comfortable. But you have to be completely honest.

Good luck and best wishes
