Here are the other labs

I don't even know if these have anything to do with my adrenals or thyroid, so if some don't belong here, my apologies.   I need to be able to walk into the doctors office with some ammo, like I know this should be looked at and that should be looked at, etc., that's where these tests would help.

Since these tests, my ferritin is very low, this I do know, but they didn't tell me how low.  Again, thanks for any help.  I'm desperate.

I am so glad things worked out! I hope this doctor works out AND the tests get run accurately!!!

BTW, hemochromatosis runs in my family as well - I have the gene, and several cousins have the active disease.

Have a great Thanksgiving - do let us know what happens!

It's ok, you had an ongoing "conversation" with this guy who was asking questions for this daughter and I took all that information and wrote an e-mail to the head of the endo department, like I knew what I was doing!  I told him that many, many tests have not been done and that I was getting sicker and sicker and I need help now!  He actually called me yesteday (he is director of the Endo department at a major teaching hospital), and is making arrangements with his nurse to set up a time when I can come in and see him.  He was quiet impressed with my "knowledge" hahaha.  So, I have to thank you for your knowledge and let you know that my e-mail of information I got from you, got me in FINALLY to see a doctor!

One thing that is concerning though (and he was concerned too, actually) is when I told him I had high levels of iron and very low levels of ferritin.  This is VERY indicative of hemochromatosis, which I WAS diagnosed as having, but then another doctor took tests and said I DON'T have it!   Then, one heart specialist said I had what is called a "stiff" heart, then another heart specialist ran a bunch of tests and said I DON'T have a stiff heart!  Then one doctor took an EKG and said that it looked like I had a small heart attack in the not so distant past, but them another doctor said the EKG looked normal and they expected what they saw on someone with diabetes!!

So, I don't know what I have and what I don't have, but this doctor was very disturbed by what he was hearing and he is going to get it straightened out once and for all as if I do have any of these illnessess, I'm not being treated!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I was not trying to be testy at all. If so, I am sorry. I type the same things over and over. You cannot tell my mood by what I type but please be assured - it was not testy at you. If anything, I just an sad that the labs don't know what they are doing and few people get anything right.

I have looked at some of your other posts to other peopel on here and you certainly weren't to testy as you were with me.  If I would have known that the lab was supposed to chill the tupe or centrifuge it right away, I wouldn't be on here trying to find this stuff out.

I will not bother you again, nor will I ever go on this site again.  And, NO, I didn't know I was supposed to do all that stuff, thank youl.

Oh, I see, I'm not a whiz with the computer, I will remember that!  Thanks.

I was told that my cortisol wasn't high, though.  I don't know.  I'm just trying to get some answers before I go to the next doctor in line!!

You can always add information on to the same thread rather than open a new post. It helps to keep all the information together.
I know a lot of people with high cortisol and most have low ferritin.
