Hi There. Its sometimes quite difficult for the medics to get a diagnosis of Conns. There is usually a lot of blood tests etc. There are also different treatments for it. The one tablet you fear i think is a tablet i take myself, its called spironaldactone. It does have side effects, but please dont panic, its only on very very high doses that they really get bad.  There are numerous straightforward tests. Blood Renin/ Aldosterone ratio, Captopril challenge test is another, also a salt infusion test can be done. The other test they do if there is evidence, is Adrenal vein blood samples . Of course they will start with CT imaging of adrenal glands. But this is not 100%  for diagnosis. Anyway, dont panic yet. Try and keep calm and do your tests.  There are good treatment options, but for the moment concentrate on staying  positive . You may not have it, as it usually spikes BP to mad levels and is often resistant to BP Meds.(MIne hit 280 mmhg ! )  Keep us posted and best of luck
