just looking for help please

hi,
I'm 42, and have been feeling ill for about 5 years.  I have been to my primary care who sent me to an endocrinologist who said I need metformin and to lose weight.
Well, my thyroid tested normal....but i asked for adrenal testing but he would not do it.
I used to have panic attacks...major adrenaline rush...for about 20 years...then i started on paxil and i no longer have them....for the past 5 years though i feel so worn out, tired, sick, sleepy all of the time, cannot get up in the morning, have to nap day after day.   I wake up at night though...feel so much better in the evenings!!
I went to a naturopath and she gave me bovine adrenal pills which reved me up a lot but then i was getting grossed out about eating them, and my primary care doc said STOP.  So, I did.  The endo does not want to give me the adrenal tests and i do not understand why.  i am so tired of asking docs for help and getting nowhere.  i already saw another endo before this one and he was even worse and rude on top of it all.
if it matters i have pcos.

Hi, I am 59 and learning...I have know that substitutes compensate for weakness, not  build strength...you want healthy blood= blood type diet, conscious breathing, rest exercise, study why you are not getting oxygen to your cells, ( trapped plazma proteins)
GOLDEN SEVEN PLUS ONE, by Samuel West.  It takes lots of electrical energy to operate a body= (Oxygen), Glucose and Phosphoric acid, ATP. Alot of ATP for converting fat and protein to a water soluble lipo-protein.  drink lots of water and breath deep...then move around to circulate the blood...moving water stays pure...I could go on forever.....docs can help, but we need to understand how things work ourselves!!!!!!!

The endo sadly, probably just is one that does diabetes and has no idea about adrenals or pituitary or anything else. It is possible to find another endo.

That being said, your symptoms sound to me, a layman, more like high cortisol than low - so getting more cortisol in any form would only add fuel to the fire. Cortisol goes up and down and it sounds like your diurnal rhythm is off which is why you are tired during the day and ok at night - your cycle is reversed. That is more like Cushing's and not AI. Most endo's think that is rare and do not know how to test for it. It also overlaps a lot of the same symptoms as PCOS and you can have PCOS and Cushing's too. Docs seem to think you can only have one thing for some reason.

Get copies of your tests, find another doctor.
