Thank you. I will be sure to ask for them ;)
Oh and the other adrenal hormones too to make sure that function is okay
Bio-available T, sex binding hormone estrogen and as many pituitary hormone as you can get imho layman opinion.
A good endo should run enough.
What other tests should be run
What are your other symptoms?
"An elevated DHEAS may indicate an adrenocortical tumor, Cushing disease, adrenal cancer, or adrenal hyperplasia, or rarely a DHEAS-producing ovarian tumor."
Are they going to test you again... it just seems odd that it is the only hormone off. DHEA converts to T and E, so they need to investigate further - and keep in mind that that there are many forms of T (they usually run just one) and there is the binding hormone and more they can look at, so another opinion may be warranted.
412 with a range of?
PCOS means the is an abnormal ratio of LH and Fsh as well as the cysts. Frankly the symptoms are pretty .... General so it could be most any hormonal imbalance.
Prolactin could be an issue too.
Hey. Just wanted to let you know my dhea was 412
Hi. I will post my level tomorrow. I had a pelvic ultrasound in December. Everything was normal. Should I have another? I don't get it..all my other hormones were normal. Although I do have Pcos symptoms..I dunno???
Did you get a copy of your tests? How high is high?
PCOS should be confirmed with other abnormal hormones and the cysts. Otherwise, they are just throwing out a diagnosis. Odds of cancer are low, and other hormonal issues can mess with Dhea too.
