24 AA Forums

Does anyone know if there are any online 24 hour AA forums? Or anywhere we could start one? Or could we start one here?

I need a support system, I am 44 days alcohol free, but am seeing a psychiatrist for anxiety,  so group meetings don’t work well for me.

I appreciate both of your input; I may start a forum and call it "Sobriety is Scary", what do you think?

Once I create it (later today), I would appreciate anything you could add to help jump start the discussion.

I'm glad I did it, but I never thought it would be this hard to abstain long term...

Keep your feet in everything that works for you and never give up on the contact of sober people. In the end that is what will save you.

You will also find amazing people here. You can do what you need for your sobriety right here. medHelp is people helping people.  If you want to start a discussion meeting and meet other people with great sobriety and help people just like yourself, Post a subject, even call it a meeting.

I understand not feeling comfortable at meetings. When I first got sober and started going to meetings I was an inpatient psychiatric ward because of depression & anxiety. My doctors suggested I go to AA so I did try and go to meetings, it was difficult and I had the urge to run out many times because of this irrational feeling of panic however I found that the people I met at the meetings were friendly, understanding and non-judgemental  and I was made feel welcome. I also realised that many of these people were suffering just like I was.
You are doing well, this is not easy but it will get better.

I want somewhere that I can express what I am going through and solicite advice, as well as well as hear what other people are, or already have gone through.

Everyday is a stuggle for me...anyone who hasn't gne through this can't possibly understand.
