Drinking and kidney spots on the skin

Does drinking alcohol cause kidney spots,and are they life threatning.

hi-my mistake. you did say on the skin. once again, i'm assuming you are referring to what are also referred to as liver spots. these are discolorations that are chiefly related to sun exposure but as with any condition can be made worse by impaired organ function, which alcohol can precipitate. typically harmless, they only cause cosmetic damage, but a similar looking condition called keratosis is a pre-cancerous skin condition should be evaluated by a doctor. again, hope this helps,  gm

hi. i assume you're referring to spots as revealed on a ct scan. these can be caused by an array of conditions, some alcohol related, but can also mean nothing at all. an accurate interpretation of and mri scan would likely reveal their nature. best wishes, gm
