Drinking every day, and puking every night.

My husband has been drinking alcohol just about every day for maby 15 years now. He can drink a lot. Sometimes at least a 12 pack to maby an 18 pack a night. Thats not including the weekends. The past few months he has been puking, gagging, and dry heaving every night and morning. He will keep getting up and stay in the bathroom for up to like 30 minutes going back and forth. I'm worried!!! Whats going on? Is it just the alcohol, or is it something with his organs now? I don't know. Can somebody help?

u need to try to some Al-Anon or find a good counselor for urself!

yeah...i agree with everyone else. your husband is killing himself with the alcohol. most likely his internal organs are enlarged or fatty. if he starts puking blood then he has a GI bleed, and needs to get to the ER immediately.

he probably needs to go to the ER anyway so they can send him to a detox unit for a few days. then AA is good. but only if he wants to stop drinking.

you may want to suggest AA to him, but don't pressure him. if you do, he'll only withdraw more from you and it might scare him off from seeking it out in the future. just plant the seed.

thats way too much alcohol....i see your only 24...does he want to get any help? if not maybe it's time to get out..if wants help then get him to a doc...and get informed on alcohol withdrawal...cuz you'll be seeing a lot of sh- - going down..and for quite a while....he could be a real nice guy with a real big problem.....billy

all of this alcohol is affecting his organs..soaking them in alcohol will cause vomiting and xcessive vomiting will stress the organs/stomach lining and could cause ruptures of his stomach lining and blood vessels.....not to mention liver damage and damge to the pancreas.Wow u 've lived with this for 15 years?Are their children being affected by this?
