Nasty odor

Hi  I was reading in one of the posts about a sickly sweet body odor. My husband has a very dirty smell for lack of a better word its a filthy smell like something hasn't been washed in ages. He bathes everyday, does not do anything but sits and watches tv he is not active at all, so I don't know why the odor. He will start giving off this odor right after he bathes and whatever room he sits in smells real strong of this odor. He cannot smell it, but  other people and myself can. I don't know if something is seeping out of his pores, after every bath there is a big ring of dirt, but if he is inactive why all the dirt.
Thank You

My husband is a very heavy drinker, his diet could use some improvement, he does not eat fruits or vegs.  The odor has really gotten strong in the past year or so.
Thank You

I am not an expert, but it could be something as simple as something he's been eating. Since you say he takes no meds, drugs, or alcohol....right?  If not, it could be something more serious....as in a medical condition....If this is a new problem especially.  Our bodies have their own way with communicating with us...pain, odor...etc....Take him to a doctor to be sure..

Body odor can be caused by many things from hormones, medications etc.  I know a guy who is on risperdal and he smells like sour milk, even though he bathes every day too.  I also know people who smell like BO and stinky feet without breaking a sweat, Not fun for those around them!
