i have my second appiontment 2 day. . havent had a drink since mon.. blood test. an i no its going 2 be ok. the longest ive gone for three years. my freind an drinking partner died 4 weeks ago.. it was a slow painfull death. the day she died i said i would nt touch another drop, but i did the opposit. i miss her every day. .she was 45 an beautifull.. an should still be here not lying in the ground

AA sez the only requirement is a desire 2 stop drinking!well girl ur honest and thats cool!prayers 4 u that ur committment comes soon!safe holidays 2 u and all!

Actually, I'm doing better but not completely sober.  I've become a lurker on this forum because I'm to ashamed that I'm not ready to get clean.  I realize this is black and white.  I guess I'm just fooling myself.  The holidays are hard.  
I hope you all are having a nice weekend.  Don't worry about me.  I'm hear just listening.  Maybe one day a switch will go off in my head and I'll make that commitment.  Live and learn as you said.

You say you are doing better ?I really hope so. ibizan is really giving you good advice and i like the way he writes keeps you on your toes so to speak ,he really wants to know and we all care or we would not be here so dont be shy and most of all remember we are not here to judge, we are all here for one-another I want to wish all of you a nice thanksgiving . and remember one day at a time of sobriety makes yoy feel better about your self.

u guys really doing better?hmmm..ok take ur word for it.....so glad this forum helps...helps me.....lets think about what we have to be grey8tful for 2day.....so much and yes tigrai dogs sense of smell 400x stronger than ours!so when drinking one smells bad to them!had a guy tell me his beloved cat avoided him when drunk and he knew it was the booze......both of u keep posting.....want to know ur still here with us!

in the middle of moving house...so have nt had much time 2 think about My friend...or your breast... I think im slowly becoming stronger...an you were write about the dogs an the smell of alcohol...i often wondered why my wee pug wouldnt give me a kiss...not that he smells that great...but he just wont leave my side...hes taken to sleeping beside me on the bed..much to the displeasure of my husband...but who gives a s***...id rather have my dogs....Im still on my librium an steriods 2 now.. which i didnt want 2 take...had really bad flue symptoms an a chest infection... not that theres much 2 infect!....I dont sleep much with my tabs...so ive been up since 3....How are things with you an how is charlie doing?  You have all really helped me...i dont think i could have come this far without you...someone 2 talk to ...so one how listens

all of these guys and gals are giving good advice to you i am so sorry that your friend passed on try real hard to look ahead I write as one of your friends you were sort of holding back some you seem to have more confidece in yourself now that is good do not leave anything out they are being honest with you.    I also Had to change names         it is jo now we e-mailed some then i guess you were to busy with your friend i understand losses hang in there Girl

i don't think so unless they've been severly abused!many cats don't have the memory retention a dog has.first female grey horrribly abused...6 mos. of love/consistent rule setting turned her in2 the most loving dog.she taught me a lot about patience!u woulda loved chunk!playful,handsome just became bully boi with that damn male Elvis thing!IU know how that is! have ladycat guillian.Found in the cold near starvation,declawed trying to nurse 4 kittens.very shy and fearful at first.she is my monkey cat..hangs on me like monkey with paws round my neck purring away!

Yeah, the whole Presley gets old in the living room; always wanted an audience too.  Show off!  Spray bottle - very affective for toning down the excitement and seems to put a damper on things when he thought the moment was right  ;-)

i had a neutered male cat who would jump on top of other gal and do elvis presley gyrations!i asked the vet....wtf?she sed sometimes a lil testerone is left.....i would blast him in butt with spray bottle.galcat look at me and sed thanks!so when the new additions to the family?

Prefer short hair; we had brother and sister before, but male was the biggest bully, even thou he was afraid of own shadow.  Then he got'sexy' around her occasionally and got confused, me thinks... dunno really.:-))

u bet they are..lotsa animals in shelters needing homes...specially kitties!it is a national shame that 5-7 million animals are euthanized a year in this country.used to b higher but due to neuter/spay programs and adoption....hey dark get 2 kitties!then they have a pal to play with,won't get lonely when no one home!i have 3 cats.....their antics are hilarious and they r good buds!
