Thanks girls.  I will keep plugging along.  My sleeping problem started about 4 years ago and i think it had alot to do with menopause.  I did not have a drinking problem at all then.  As i understand from my menopause book,  you never get it back like you had it.  (sleep that is) YUCK!

Good luck finding sleep. I never had alcohol problems, but I do have sleep issues and had them for as long as I can remember... I hope you find something helpful.

i looked it up, temazapem (restoril) is a benzo, in the class with valium, so i don't think that could be used by me for very long.
Boy, i had a rough day.  My therapist told me to go curl up in bed and read and just take care of myself.  Not that i needed her say so to do just that.   It did help.
I know the Roseram instructions said it took awhile to get into you and get your sleep cycle back.  But, i took that stuff for a month and no luck. Tonya

I will check into it for sure.  My therapist told me today that the ambien will just quit working and that has started now.  Then it is time to go to another.
Thanks for your help.

just googled product info for Restoril.....did not see any info on it being a no-no for ppl with substance abuse histories. It is used a short term sleep aid.And it takes 10-days for 3 weeks for a med to integrate itself in2 bloodstream with full benefits.
