Growing out of Allergies

I am wondering if anyone has any idea as to ways or techniques that can help my son build a tolerance or lose the degree of allergies. I realize this is grasping at straws but he is beyond severe and the Docotrs in our area have said there is nothing they can do to help him.

I am so sorry to learn how severe he is ..... do you think a large hospital like Mt. Sinai in NY City would have a trial available .. they've done one with peanut shots in the past?

Dr. Hugh Sampson - world reknowned allergist and takes 6-9 mos for an appt.

He is rast and skin positive. We tried to use drops to build a tolernece to mould (one of the lowest allergies) And he broke out in skin lesions all over. Skin testing is dangerous because he in anaphalactic by touch to most of them

Has he tried allergy shots for things that showed positive? The shots fight the allergen, which in turn helps build up a tolerance (antibodies) to whatever he is showing allergies to.

Is he RAST positive or skin positive and/or both?

Avoidance is key and then reintroduction at a given timeframe at the allergist's office is sometimes done.
