Can you suddenly develop a food allergy?

I was wondering if its possible for a 22 year old middle eastern to suddenly develop an allergy out of the blue for any particular foods?

Oh yes, absolutely. Our bodies reactions to allergies can change every so many years, so, yes, it is possible to have ones you have never had before.

Your body can become allergy laden and you may have symptoms from something that you are allergic to one day and not another.Summer worse than fall etc. Why? Because the more your body becomes burdened with multiple allergies(food, mold, dust) whatever.... the more symptomatic you will be. Be careful sometimes you can have more severe reactions at one time than another....or every time you are exposed your reaction can be more severe. Not something to take lightly as I have seen people unable to breathe that we saved just in time.

This is deffinately possible. It could be in your family history somewhere, or maybe the body thinks it's not good for you. Food allergies usually show up in early childhood or adolesence, but early 20's is not unheardof.

Make an appointment with your doctor to be sure. Keep a diary of what you eat and how you react to these meals until you go in for the appointment to get tested so your doctor can see if you have a sensativity, intollerance, or full-blown allergy, because each is treated differently.

I hope this helps!
