Allergic reaction to hookah

Two nights ago I smoked hookah, trying out 2 different flavors and nothing happened. The following day I smoked for a longer amount of time, with both flavors again, but about a half hour after smoking I began to feel nauseus and started uncontrollably hitting my head against the counter (not hard but I was unable to stop and thought someone else was doing this to me). Then I fell on the floor and afterwards felt fine besides being sweaty. My doctor thought this must be an allergic reaction to the hookah but I have smoked before, and as I said have used those flavors previously. Would the length of smoking cause this? I need to know what I am actually allergic to.

Recently ive been having a problem like this as well. Ive smoked hookah for years now and I would just get a bit hot and light headed if i smoked too long but now i get shaky, nauseated, and my equilibrium is all out of whack. I have to lie down with my eyes open or i feel like the rooms spinning out of control.

Nothing helps except stopping smoking...

If you find out anything I would love to know.....

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Well it could be an allergic reaction to smoke, or the flavor itself or some other ingredient. You must get an allergy test done, either a skin test or by RAST, to know what you are allergic to.

If it is not allergy, it could also be seizures. Do consult a specialist. Another possibility is a drug in the hookah like any street drug. You need to check this possibility too.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
