Allergies and anxiety

I have had severe nasal allergies on my right side only and went to the doctor. He prescribed claritin d 12 hour which helped for a little however I began to feel nervousness which i had been feeling before i took claritin d.

I went back and he prescribed antibiotics, fluticasone propionate (nasal spray), and aller-tec. My allergies are completely gone however the nervousness is still there. I have stopped using everything for about four days now what should I do?

Hi,
Anxiety and allergies can coexist in certain patient’s because certain allergies like asthma or hay fever can cause panic attacks which leaves the patient with anxiety for future. Also, Claritin d can cause some amount of anxiety and this drug takes around 10 days for complete elimination.
I would recommend that you consult a physician for further work up and confirmation of the cause for this. Best.
