Hi, 2nd generation anti histamines are quite effective in allergic conditions and are devoid/minimal sedative (sleepiness) side effects. These include levocetirizine, loratidine etc. this can be combined with nasal decongestants (combination are available) and should be taken against prescription. Take care and regards.

Hi, stuffy head, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat are the symptoms of common cold due to infection or allergic rhinitis. Some viruses causing infection are rhinovirus, influenza, adenovirus, echovirus etc.

Infection is transmitted through inhaling droplets and touching infected areas. Sinusitis has symptoms like feeling pressure on forehead, sinus drainage, fatigue, poor sense to smell and taste, bad breath, sore throat, ear pain etc. You need to undergo detailed evaluation and rule out deviated nasal septum, blocked sinus, presence of foreign body etc.

You should take rest; drink plenty of water, salt water gargle. Antibiotics, antihistamines, cough syrup will help you but to be taken against prescription. Identify the environmental factors you are allergic to like dust, pollen, pets etc. and avoid further exposure. I suggest you to consult physician. Take care and regards.
