Body Overheating?

Hello Everyone I had a question for you guys. I am 20 years old and ever since 10th grade my body seems to overheat. Now I am an athlete and play basketball and lift weights nearly everyday. When I have this reaction I get hives all over my body and a terrible itch all over. I drink almost a gallon of water a day because of the amount of exercise I participate in. This attack can happen to me while I'm exercising or when I'm sleeping or even at work. I feel an attack when its coming because my heart beat will rise and some kind of sensation in my chest will appear. I have visits over 5 doctors and none of then know what the problem is. I've even ben to an allergy specialist and he did allergy testing and I'm not allergic to any of the things he tested me for. Does anyone have this similar problem or does anyone have a solution to my medical problem?  Thank you for your advice in advance!

My daughter has a similar reaction.  She has even gone into anaphylactic shock as a result of exercising and overheating.  She can get hives all over her body.  You may want to consider having a blood test for your vitamin D levels.  My daughters was extremely low (wasn't measurable).  She now takes prescription levels of a vitamin D supplement and must be in direct sun or tanning bed several times a week.

Hi,

I'm thirty and I get something very similiar. Started about 2 years ago.. I was told by an allergy specialist to take antihistamines every day for about 6 months to suppress the histamine production - but it hasn't seemed to work.. I usually take an antihistamine before I work out, I may still get the hives but I dont seem to get the burning itch..

Sorry I dont have much of a solution though.. I'd like to get off taking so many antihistamines so I'm interested to see if anyone else has an experience with this..
