Can I get allergy shots for food allergies?

I used to have environmental allergies and allergy shots helped greatly. Can I do the same for food allergies. And can peanut and shellfish be added to these shots? Thanks.

You should consider homeopathy for your food allergies. And yes (after reading your other post), food allergies can definitely cause bloating and it is common for your heart to race after being exposed to a food or chemical that you are allergic to.

Hi,
The effectiveness of allergy shots or immunotherapy varies depending on the severity of a person's allergies and the number of substances to which the person is allergic. Immunotherapy is effective for allergies to stinging insects, a variety of pollens and dust mites, molds and pet dander, as well as for allergic asthma. However, it is not proven to be effective for hives or food allergies. Take care and regards.
