Can allergies cause you to feel like you are high?

Can allergies cause you to feel like you are high?

For the last 6 months or so I have been having unusual flare ups that consist of feeling slightly disoriented, kind of like I am inside a bubble, not being able to think clearly, a severe lack of energy, being stiff all over an in full body pain, being slightly nauseous/dizzy and craving really high carb foods (which i usually don't like). I went the the Dr and they ran a full panel of tests - all came back fine except Vitamin D (I was severely deficient) They began treating that, and at my last check up I was almost back to a normal range. But none of these ailments have gone away! The Dr recommended clartin for the foggy head thinking perhaps it was allergies and chalked everything else up to the Vitamin D. I started taking the claritin and within 48 hrs my energy came back, my head cleared up, the stiffness went away... I felt normal! And the food cravings went away!

Can this really all be allergies? Or is there something else that the Claritin could be treating? I really don't want to live off of allergy meds for the rest of my life, but I can't live like this... I have 4 kids to care for!

I honestly feel like I am high... and I hate it! Any help would be appreciated! Or if anyone else has gone through this, it would be great to know I am not alone... and that it isn't all in my head! (no pun intended...)
